This paper presents platforms as a solution to rethink how we build, addressing the pressing paradox between meeting growing housing demands. The construction sector has not fully grasped the advantages of platforms beyond standardisation and efficiency. In contrast, other sectors have begun acknowledging that platforms can capture increased value through interactions among firms within a networked ecosystem. Learning from other sectors, this paper investigates platforms in the construction context, aiming to define, classify, and assess their impact on the construction value chain. The research approach was abductive, involving a cross-sectoral review of 190 platforms across 16 Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification (ANZSIC) industries and semi-structured interviews with stakeholder groups of the construction value chain in Australia. The findings categorise platforms as physical, digital, or hybrid, highlighting their potential to move value-added activities upstream, facilitate collaboration, and foster innovation through data-driven insights. The paper’s novelty lies in the exhaustive cross-sectoral review, the classification of platforms in the construction context, and the proposition of a platform approach as a versatile framework tailored to diverse needs and circumstances that offers a fresh perspective on sustainable building practices. The practical contribution of this study lies in offering guidelines for industry practitioners aiming to develop or refine a platform-based approach tailored to the construction context. This paper examines how Marley Dias’ activism on Instagram promotes racial justice, Black feminist thought, and youth mobilization through digital storytelling, representation, and audience engagement. Using a mixed-methods analysis of 744 posts published between 2016 and 2025, the study combined critical thematic coding, temporal mapping, and engagement metrics to analyze the discursive and emotional strategies behind Dias’ activism. Five key themes were identified as central to her activist work: diversity in literature, lack girl empowerment, racial justice, Black representation, and educational advocacy. The findings reveal that Dias strategically tailors her messages to suit Instagram’s unique features, using carousels and videos to enhance visibility, foster intimacy, and provide depth in education. Posts that focused on identity, aesthetics, and empowerment garnered the highest levels of engagement, while posts that concentrated on structural issues received lower, yet still significant, interaction. The paper argues that Dias’ Instagram account serves as a dynamic platform for youth-led Black feminist resistance, where cultural production, civic education, and emotional impact converge. This case underscores the political potential of digital literacies and encourages a reconsideration of how youth-driven digital activism is reshaping contemporary public discourse, agency, and knowledge production in the social media age. Virtual interactivity in marketing has evolved significantly in recent decades, becoming an essential tool for effectively connecting with consumers in digital environments. Through interactive digital platforms, brands can generate a two-way dialogue with their customers, allowing them to obtain instant feedback and adapt their strategies quickly and effectively. This not only improves but also contributes to strengthening brand love and fostering long-term loyalty. In this context, this research aimed to analyze the effect of virtual interactivity on customer loyalty and WOM through multiple sequential mediation paths, considering the elements of relationship marketing and examining the cognitive (trust–commitment), communicational (communication–conflict management), and experiential (brand love–WOM) mechanisms that operate in digital consumer–brand interactions. A cross-sectional and explanatory study was conducted, considering 417 frequent customers of brands who also follow brands on social media. Participants included women (60.7%) and men (39.3%), ranging in age from 19 to 52 years (M = 30.9 and SD = 6.0). Data were collected using a self-report form on virtual interactivity, relationship marketing, WOW, customer loyalty, and brand love, yielding an appropriate measurement model (α = between 0.791 and 0.908; CR = between 0.791 and 0.916; AVE = between 0.679 and 0.845) which was statistically analyzed using PLS-SEM. The hypotheses confirmed the proposed model, observing the effect of virtual interactivity on important brand factors. This research provides valid results linked to the digital world in banking contexts. Full article

This study addresses the performance of digital platforms in enhancing ocean governance by improving communication and collaboration among stakeholders. It analyses several platforms based on their collaborative initiatives, digital tools, and ability to function as networks of knowledge. The findings show that these platforms bridge gaps between regional, national, and non-governmental organisations, promoting informed decision making. Their online presence enhances transparency and engagement, especially post-COVID-19. This study highlights the need for hybrid platforms combining informative and interactive elements to better serve both experts and the public. From this analysis, some recommendations are drawn to provide rules and design for the cooperation and co-design of a platform to foster better communication, collaboration, and sustainable ocean management practices. In the context of global e-commerce platform supply chains dominated by Alibaba and Amazon, power reconfiguration among tripartite stakeholders (platforms, manufacturers, and retailers) remains a critical yet underexplored issue in supply chain contract design. To analyze the strategic interactions between platforms, manufacturers, and retailers, as well as how platforms select the contract format within a tripartite supply chain, this study proposes a Stackelberg game-theoretic framework incorporating participation constraints to compare fixed-fee and revenue-sharing contracts. The results demonstrate that revenue-sharing contracts significantly enhance supply chain efficiency by aligning incentives across members, leading to improved pricing and sales outcomes. However, this coordination benefit comes with reduced platform dominance, as revenue-sharing inherently redistributes power toward upstream and downstream partners. The analysis reveals a nuanced contract selection framework: given the revenue sharing rate, as the additional value increases, the optimal contract shifts from the mode RR to the mode RF, and ultimately to the mode FF. Notably, manufacturers and retailers exhibit a consistent preference for revenue-sharing contracts due to their favorable profit alignment properties, regardless of the platform’s value proposition. These findings may contribute to platform operations theory by (1) proposing a dynamic participation framework for contract analysis, (2) exploring value-based thresholds for contract transitions, and (3) examining the power-balancing effects of alternative contract formats. This study offers actionable insights for platform operators seeking to balance control and cooperation in their supply chain relationships, while providing manufacturers and retailers with strategic guidance for contract negotiations in platform-mediated markets. These findings are especially relevant for large e-commerce platforms and their partners managing the complexities of contemporary digital supply chains. Full article

The escalating impacts of climate change pose significant threats to global agriculture, necessitating a rapid development of climate-resilient crop varieties. The integration of multi-omics technologies—such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and phenomics—has revolutionized our understanding of the intricate molecular networks that govern plant stress responses. Coupled with advanced predictive modeling approaches such as machine learning, deep learning, and multi-omics-assisted genomic selection, these integrated frameworks enable accurate genotype-to-phenotype predictions that accelerate breeding for augmented stress tolerance. This review comprehensively synthesizes the current strategies for multi-omics data integration, highlighting computational tools, conceptual frameworks, and challenges in harmonizing heterogeneous datasets. We examine the contribution of digital phenotyping platforms and environmental data in dissecting genotype-by-environment interactions critical for climate adaptation resilience. Further, we discuss technical, biological, and ethical challenges, encompassing computational bottlenecks, trait complexity, data standardization, and equitable data sharing. Finally, we outline future directions that prioritize scalable infrastructures, interpretability, and collaborative platforms to facilitate the deployment of multi-omics-guided breeding in diverse agroecological contexts. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of recent advancements in lower limb exoskeleton systems, focusing on applications, control strategies, hardware architecture, sensing modalities, human-robot interaction, evaluation methods, and technical innovations. The study spans systems developed for gait rehabilitation, mobility assistance, terrain adaptation, pediatric use, and industrial support. Applications range from sit-to-stand transitions and post-stroke therapy to balance support and real-world navigation. Control approaches vary from traditional impedance and fuzzy logic models to advanced data-driven frameworks, including reinforcement learning, recurrent neural networks, and digital twin-based optimization. These controllers support personalized and adaptive interaction, enabling real-time intent recognition, torque modulation, and gait phase synchronization across different users and tasks. Hardware platforms include powered multi-degree-of-freedom exoskeletons, passive assistive devices, compliant joint systems, and pediatric-specific configurations. Innovations in actuator design, modular architecture, and lightweight materials support increased usability and energy efficiency. Sensor systems integrate EMG, EEG, IMU, vision, and force feedback, supporting multimodal perception for motion prediction, terrain classification, and user monitoring. Human–robot interaction strategies emphasize safe, intuitive, and cooperative engagement. Controllers are increasingly user-specific, leveraging biosignals and gait metrics to tailor assistance. Evaluation methodologies include simulation, phantom testing, and human–subject trials across clinical and real-world environments, with performance measured through joint tracking accuracy, stability indices, and functional mobility scores. Overall, the review highlights the field’s evolution toward intelligent, adaptable, and user-centered systems, offering promising solutions for rehabilitation, mobility enhancement, and assistive autonomy in diverse populations. Following a detailed review of current developments, strategic recommendations are made to enhance and evolve existing exoskeleton technologies. Full article

The complexities inherent in resource management within cross-domain digital innovation ecosystems have significantly intensified, giving rise to heightened challenges in collaborative interactions among diverse stakeholders, thereby directly impacting systemic stability. Conventional governance frameworks for innovation ecosystems are inadequate in effectively managing the uncertainties and risks inherent in these environments. To address the collaborative governance dilemma and enhance governance efficiency, this paper aims to construct an effective collaborative governance mechanism for a cross-domain digital innovation ecosystem and explore the optimal strategy choices of key governance stakeholders, including the government, digital platform enterprises, and other relevant parties. This research utilizes evolutionary game theory to construct a model comprising three governing entities: the government, digital platform enterprises, and stakeholders. It investigates the evolutionary dynamics of collaborative governance strategies among these entities and the factors that influence governance. Following this, a system dynamics methodology is employed for simulation analysis. The results reveal the following: (1) As the initial intentions of the governing entities evolve, governance decisions within the system tend to stabilize, characterized by a strategic combination of proactive regulation, active cooperative governance, and engaged participation. This equilibrium governance strategy significantly fosters the stable advancement of cross-domain digital innovation ecosystems. (2) The punitive measures enacted by the government and the internal incentive structures of the system positively influence the evolution of governance decisions towards collaborative governance. (3) The cost–benefit assessment of the primary governing entity, the digital platform enterprise, demonstrates a detrimental effect on the evolution of governance decisions towards collaborative governance. These findings are vital for refining the collaborative governance frameworks of cross-domain digital innovation ecosystems and for promoting the robust and stable progression of the system. With the rise of live-streaming services on e-commerce platforms, AI-powered virtual idols have demonstrated tremendous application potential and thus possess high commercial value. From the perspective of psychological distance, this study adopts the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S–O–R) theoretical framework to construct a research model of “AI-powered virtual idols–psychological distance–impulsive buying intention”. The model aims to explore how AI-powered virtual idols promote digital natives’ impulsive buying intention in the context of e-commerce live streaming. Furthermore, this study examines the moderating effect of technology readiness on the relationship between AI-powered virtual idols and psychological distance. The findings reveal that the level of intelligence of AI-powered virtual idols—including interactivity, anthropomorphism, homogeneity, and reputation—enhances digital natives’ impulsive buying intention by reducing psychological distance. For digital natives with lower technology readiness, the effect of AI-powered virtual idols in narrowing psychological distance is more pronounced. These findings enrich AI-driven consumer behavior models from a theoretical perspective and offer theoretical support and practical insights for developing AI-empowered digital marketing strategies tailored to the psychological traits and technological adaptability of digital natives. In the context of accelerating digital transformation and growing sustainability imperatives, entrepreneurial ecosystems increasingly rely on open innovation and strategic collaboration to foster resilient, knowledge-driven growth. This study aims to examine how leadership behaviors and strategic alliances interact as enablers of sustainable innovation across macro (systemic), meso (organizational), and micro (individual) levels. To achieve this, this study employs a literature review, supported by bibliometric analysis, as its core methodological approach. Drawing on 86 influential publications from 1992 to 2024, two major thematic streams emerge: leadership dynamics in entrepreneurial settings and the formation and governance of strategic alliances as vehicles for innovation. The findings underscore the pivotal role of transformational and ethical leadership in cultivating trust-based inter-organizational relationships, facilitating digital knowledge sharing, and catalyzing sustainable value creation. Simultaneously, strategic alliances enhance organizational agility and innovation capacity through co-creation mechanisms, digital platforms, and crowdsourcing, especially in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This paper highlights a mutually reinforcing relationship: effective leadership strategies empower alliances, while alliance participation enhances leadership capabilities through experiential learning in diverse, digitalized environments. By bridging leadership theory, open innovation practices, and digital transformation, this study offers critical insights for entrepreneurs, managers, and policymakers seeking to drive inclusive and sustainable innovation within interconnected global markets. Therefore, this study provides practical guidance for business leaders aiming to strengthen alliance performance through adaptive leadership and for policymakers seeking to foster innovation ecosystems through supportive regulatory and institutional frameworks. Police officers work in high-stress environments that demand emotional resilience, interpersonal skills, and effective communication. Occupational stress can negatively impact their motivation, conflict resolution abilities, and professional effectiveness. Loving-Kindness Meditation (LKM), a mindfulness-based intervention focused on cultivating compassion and empathy, has shown promise in enhancing prosocial attitudes and emotional regulation. With the rise of short video platforms, digital interventions like video-guided LKM may offer accessible mental health support for law enforcement. This study examines the effects of short video app-guided LKM on police officers’ mindfulness, public service motivation (PSM), conflict resolution skills (CRSs), and communication skills (CSSs). It aims to determine whether LKM can enhance these psychological and professional competencies. A randomized controlled trial (RCT) was conducted with 110 active-duty police officers from a metropolitan police department in China, with 92 completing the study. Participants were randomly assigned to either the LKM group (n = 46) or the waitlist control group (n = 46). The intervention consisted of a 6-week short video app-guided LKM program with daily 10 min meditation sessions. Pre- and post-intervention assessments were conducted using several validated scales: the Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), the Public Service Motivation Scale (PSM), the Conflict Resolution Styles Inventory (CRSI), and the Communication Competence Scale (CCS). A 2 (Group: LKM vs. Control) × 2 (Time: Pre vs. Post) mixed-design MANOVA was conducted to analyze the effects. Statistical analyses revealed significant group-by-time interaction effects for PSM (F(4,177) = 21.793, p < 0.001, η2 = 0.108), CRS (F(4,177) = 20.920, p < 0.001, η2 = 0.104), and CSS (F(4,177) = 49.095, p < 0.001, η2 = 0.214), indicating improvements in these areas for LKM participants. However, no significant improvement was observed for mindfulness (F(4,177) = 2.850, p = 0.930, η2 = 0.016). Short video app-guided LKM improves public service motivation, conflict resolution skills, and communication skills among police officers but does not significantly enhance mindfulness. These findings suggest that brief, digitally delivered compassion-focused programs can be seamlessly incorporated into routine in-service training to strengthen officers’ prosocial motivation, de-escalation competence, and public-facing communication, thereby fostering more constructive police–community interactions. Traditional industrial robot programming methods often pose high usage thresholds due to their inherent complexity and lack of standardization. Manufacturers typically employ proprietary programming languages or user interfaces, resulting in steep learning curves and limited interoperability. Moreover, conventional systems generally lack capabilities for remote control and real-time status monitoring. In this study, a novel approach is proposed by integrating digital twin technology with traditional robot control methodologies to establish a virtual–real mapping architecture. A high-precision and efficient digital twin-based control platform for industrial robots is developed using the Unity3D (2022.3.53f1c1) engine, offering enhanced visualization, interaction, and system adaptability. The high-precision twin environment is constructed from the three dimensions of the physical layer, digital layer, and information fusion layer. The system adopts the socket communication mechanism based on TCP/IP protocol to realize the real-time acquisition of robot state information and the synchronous issuance of control commands, and constructs the virtual–real bidirectional mapping mechanism. The Unity3D platform is integrated to develop a visual human–computer interaction interface, and the user-oriented graphical interface and modular command system effectively reduce the threshold of robot use. A spatially curved part welding experiment is carried out to verify the adaptability and control accuracy of the system in complex trajectory tracking and flexible welding tasks, and the experimental results show that the system has high accuracy as well as good interactivity and stability. This study explores the usability and interaction experience of preschool-aged children with the Artsteps platform, a web-based tool for creating and navigating virtual exhibitions. The goal is to assess the platform’s suitability for early childhood learners and to reflect on its potential educational value. Following a child-centered design methodology, the research involves the participation of 35 children aged 4–6 in classroom-based activities. Observational methods and an adapted version of the System Usability Scale (SUS) for young learners were used to collect quantitative and qualitative data. The analysis focuses on interaction patterns, the comprehension of basic functions, and emotional responses during the use of the platform. Findings offer exploratory insights into the affordances and limitations of the platform in preschool settings, offering insights into how such digital tools may support digital literacy and experiential learning in early childhood education. Modeling Affective Mechanisms in Relaxing Video Games: Sentiment and Topic Analysis of User Reviews

The accelerating pace of digital life has intensified psychological strain, increasing the demand for accessible and systematized emotional support tools. Relaxing video games—defined as low-pressure, non-competitive games designed to promote calm and emotional relief—offer immersive environments that facilitate affective engagement and sustained user involvement. This study proposes a computational framework that integrates sentiment analysis and topic modeling to investigate the affective mechanisms and behavioral dynamics associated with relaxing gameplay. We analyzed nearly 60,000 user reviews from the Steam platform in both English and Chinese, employing a hybrid methodology that combines sentiment classification, dual-stage Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), and multi-label mechanism tagging. Emotional relief emerged as the dominant sentiment (62.8%), whereas anxiety was less prevalent (10.4%). Topic modeling revealed key affective dimensions such as pastoral immersion and cozy routine. Regression analysis demonstrated that mechanisms like emotional relief (β = 0.0461, p = 0.001) and escapism (β = 0.1820, p < 0.001) were significant predictors of longer playtime, while Anxiety Expression lost statistical significance (p = 0.124) when contextual controls were added. The findings highlight the potential of relaxing video games as scalable emotional regulation tools and demonstrate how sentiment- and topic-driven modeling can support system-level understanding of affective user behavior. This research contributes to affective computing, digital mental health, and the design of emotionally aware interactive systems. Full article

In the context of rapid global digitalization and evolving media ecologies, sustainable cultural communication has become central to both museum transformation and the theoretical renewal of iconology. Images, as vital carriers of cultural memory and identity, are shifting from static, linear presentations to generative, interactive, and participatory modes enabled by digital platforms. This shift calls for a new paradigm in image communication—one that integrates meaning construction with technological and user-centered logics. This study adopts a “technology–culture–user” framework, drawing on constructivism, cultural memory theory, and symbolic interactionism to construct a digital-era iconological system. Through comparative analysis of the Chinese Palace Museum and the National Museum of Korea, the research reveals complementary approaches: the former emphasizes structured, authoritative knowledge dissemination, while the latter prioritizes immersive, user-driven interaction. These differences provide a basis for cross-cultural cooperation. Accordingly, the paper proposes five collaborative strategies: integrating advanced technologies, building shared image resource systems, enhancing user engagement mechanisms, expanding East Asian visual symbol networks, and adapting institutional frameworks to diverse cultural contexts. These strategies aim to support both theoretical innovation in iconology and sustainable regional cultural communication in the digital age. Full article
