Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues:

Web2.0 is an interactive network with open and collaborative characteristics. Unlike the traditional portal network, it is controlled by users and generates content accordingly. Any node in the network can create, transmit and communicate information, subverting the traditional form of information circulation. From the perspectives of scientific and technological development and social change, Web2.0 represents a network revolution brought about by the development of information technology, promoting a new mode of people-oriented technological innovation. In the Web2.0 environment, personalized information is sorted, aggregated and reorganized on a collaborative platform. The technologies and ideas that emerge on this platform have promoted the emergence of e-commerce, a change in the mode of corporate governance, and innovation in the knowledge management paradigm. Moreover, Web2.0 enables theories such as social network, digital economy and blockchain technology to flourish.

With the global trend towards a digital economy, digital technology has become an important driving force for economic development, and the digital economy has gradually become an important pillar of the global economy. However, in the Web2.0 environment, due to the existence of centralized platform monopolization, the development of a digital economy and digital innovation has encountered resistance. Therefore, Web2.0 should be further developed to achieve the “decentralization” needed for the development of a digital economy; to transform the existing “platform economy” into a “sharing economy”; to improve the driving force of the digital economy with big data, Internet of Things, blockchain and other technologies; and to promote the sustainable development of digital innovation. Especially given current human development, increasing attention is paid to the harmony and unity between man and nature. Key words such as “green”, “circular” and “sustainable” have become central to innovation and development. The digital economy and digital innovation have also become hot topics of current research with regard to their efficiency, directness and sustainability. Therefore, in the Web2.0 environment, methods of developing a healthy digital economy at high speed and sustainably promoting digital innovation will be the core issues discussed in this Special Issue.

Original research articles and reviews are welcome, and topics may include (but are not limited to) the following:

  1. The sustainable development of e-commerce in the Web2.0 environment.
  2. Governance models of companies in the Web2.0 environment.
  3. The development of a digital economy in the Web2.0 environment.
  4. Knowledge management in the Web2.0 environment.
  5. Digital innovation in the Web2.0 environment.
  6. The decentralization and digital innovation of Web2.0.
  7. New business models in the Web2.0 environment.
  8. Green innovation in the Web2.0 environment.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
