Polysaccharides （ISSN 2673-4176）is dedicated to open access publication and worldwide dissemination of peer-reviewed research articles, communications, and review papers on polysaccharides and their derivatives, from basics to applications. Particular interest will be given to papers which bring new findings and insights to the community.
Topics include but are not limited to:
- functionalization and modifications
- isolation, extraction, and purification
- newly discovered natural polysaccharides or polysaccharide derivatives
- chemical, crystalline, and structural analysis and characterization
- structure–property relationships
- analytical methods
- interactions with other materials
- application in food or agricultural science
- application in health care, personal care, and cosmetics
- application in drug delivery, medicine, and tissue engineering
- application in energy storage and biorefinery
- application in industry

Polysaccharides is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). MDPI takes the responsibility to enforce a rigorous peer-review together with strict ethical policies and standards to ensure to add high quality scientific works to the field of scholarly publication.
