Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Climate change is causing severe weather events (extreme temperatures, intense droughts, water shortages, fires, floods), sea level rise, and widespread pests and diseases that impact all aspects of food production, availability, and security. This Special Issue focuses specifically on the effects of climate change on plant foods such as vegetables, fruits, and aromatic and medicinal plants.

Manuscripts that address the study of extreme environmental factors on plant foods during production, transportation, storage, and processing are welcome. Manuscripts dealing with methods of mitigating climate change and improving plant protection mechanisms, as well as methods of sustainable production and processing of plant foods and plant based meat alternatives, are also welcome.
