Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The pharmacy profession is undergoing a significant transformation, with pharmacists increasingly taking on roles that extend beyond traditional dispensing duties. This evolution is driven by the need to enhance patient care, improve health outcomes, and address healthcare system challenges.

This Special Issue aims to explore the multifaceted roles pharmacists now play in various healthcare settings. We invite contributions that examine innovative practices, collaborative care models, and the impact of pharmacists in areas such as chronic disease management, preventive care, telehealth, public health initiatives, amongst others.

Submissions may include original research, case studies, reviews, or commentaries that shed light on how pharmacists are achieving the following:

  • Integrating into interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Enhancing medication management and patient education.
  • Participating in health promotion and disease prevention efforts.
  • Utilizing technology to expand access to care.
  • Innovating within healthcare to improve patient outcomes.

By highlighting these expanded roles, this Special Issue seeks to inform practice, influence policy, and inspire further innovation in pharmacy practice.
