Dear Colleagues,
Pharmacogenomics (PGx) examines how inherited and acquired genetic variation shapes drug efficacy, toxicity and treatment failure, and it is increasingly evolving from single‑gene tests to genome‑wide, systems models of response. Multiomics integration, combining genomics with epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, microbiome and exposome layers, can bridge genotype to phenotype, quantify pathway activity and reveal gene–environment and disease‑state determinants that underlie “missing heritability” in drug response. Epigenomic marks (e.g., DNA methylation and chromatin accessibility) provide a dynamic regulatory substrate that can modulate pharmacogene function independently of DNA sequence. Transcriptomic profiles capture context‑specific expressions of pharmacogenes and drug targets, helping explain tissue-, time- and inflammation‑dependent variability. This Special Issue, “Multiomics Perspective in Pharmacogenomics,” welcomes original research, reviews, methods and software papers and clinically grounded case studies that advance multiomics integration frameworks (statistical learning, network/graph models and AI), biomarker discovery and functional validation (e.g., CRISPR perturbations, deep mutational scanning, organoids). Priority themes include multi‑ancestry and equity‑oriented designs, longitudinal sampling, single‑cell and spatial omics, reproducible pipelines and external validation and ethical–regulatory pathways for implementation. Authors are encouraged to follow FAIR principles (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable), report harmonized metadata and batch‑control strategies and use community standards for variant and phenotype representation to accelerate translation into clinically interpretable decision support and PGx‑informed drug selection and dosing.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
