Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This is an expanded second edition of the Special Issue “Reviews of Infectious Diseases”, the first edition of which included eight papers (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/pathogens/special_issues/4Y42ZD0493).
We are grateful to our readers, authors, anonymous peer reviewers, editors, and staff who have made substantial contributions to this journal over the years.
The emergence of novel infectious viruses poses a significant threat to global public health. Viruses such as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV), SARS-CoV-2, Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), Ebola virus (EBOV), Zika virus (ZIKV), and highly pathogenic influenza A viruses (IAVs) have evolved diverse strategies to evade human host defense mechanisms.
This Special Issue, titled “Reviews of Infectious Diseases”, intends to collect high-quality reviews on infectious diseases. We encourage scholars from across the globe to publish papers based on their most recent research.
Dr. Ceccarelli Giancarlo
Guest Editor
Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Pathogens is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
