The Impact of Diet on Blood Lipids and Cardiovascular Outcomes
This special issue belongs to the section “Nutrition and Metabolism“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Diet plays a pivotal role in modulating lipid metabolism and, consequently, influencing cardiovascular risk. As cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide, it is crucial to understand how different dietary patterns, specific nutrients, and food components affect lipid profiles.
The aim of this Special Issue is to bring together original research articles, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses that examine the relationship between dietary factors and changes in blood lipids, including cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and apolipoproteins, and their impact on cardiovascular health.
We particularly welcome studies evaluating dietary interventions, population-based analyses, or providing mechanistic insights into lipid regulation through nutrition. Contributions from clinical and public health perspectives are encouraged. By consolidating current evidence, this Special Issue will provide a comprehensive overview of the role of diet in lipid management and cardiovascular disease prevention.
