Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue explores the critical topic of nutritional assessment, a key element in obtaining accurate data to prevent and treat diet-related diseases and support therapeutic interventions. Precise assessment of nutritional status is fundamental for effective clinical outcomes and for developing targeted strategies to combat chronic conditions such as obesity, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes and other lifestyle- and diet-related pathologies.
We seek manuscripts specifically focused on the methodology of nutritional assessment. We invite submissions on:
- Advanced techniques for nutritional status assessment in clinical and community settings.
- Validation of assessment tools to monitor the efficacy of nutritional therapies.
- Correlation between precise nutritional parameters and the progression of lifestyle- and diet-related disorders.
- Innovative biomarkers of nutrient intake and dietary patterns.
By focusing on these specific assessment tools, this issue aims to provide the rigorous data necessary to support evidence-based nutrition and improve clinical outcomes in patients with lifestyle-related diseases.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Nutrients is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
