Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Nutritional status plays a fundamental role in growth, pubertal development, metabolic health, and endocrine function throughout childhood and adolescence. At the same time, endocrine disorders may substantially affect nutritional requirements, body composition, and energy metabolism. This Special Issue, entitled "Nutritional Assessment and Endocrine Function in Pediatric Populations", aims to highlight recent advances in understanding the complex interactions between nutrition and the endocrine system in children and adolescents.
We welcome original research, reviews, and clinical studies addressing nutritional assessment, dietary patterns, micronutrient status, body composition, and their associations with growth, puberty, obesity, diabetes, thyroid function, bone health, and other endocrine conditions. Studies evaluating nutritional interventions, metabolic biomarkers, and novel tools for assessing nutritional status in pediatric populations are also encouraged. By integrating nutritional and endocrine perspectives, this Special Issue seeks to provide clinically relevant evidence that may improve the prevention, evaluation, and management of pediatric endocrine and metabolic disorders.

Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Nutrients is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
