Dear Colleagues,
Nanocarrier-based drug delivery systems have emerged as powerful platforms for improving the solubility, stability, bioavailability, targeting, and therapeutic efficacy of active pharmaceutical ingredients. Recent advances in formulation science and nanotechnology have enabled the development of versatile systems, including polymeric and lipid nanoparticles, nanocapsules, liposomes, micelles, cyclodextrin-based nanosystems, nanostructured lipid carriers, and hybrid nanocarriers. This Special Issue aims to highlight recent advances in the design, formulation, characterization, optimization, and biological evaluation of nanocarrier-based drug delivery systems. Contributions addressing targeted and site-specific delivery, controlled and stimuli-responsive release, oral, dermal and transdermal delivery, tumor-targeted delivery, nanocarrier–biological interactions, pharmacokinetic and biodistribution studies, and translational aspects are particularly welcome. Original research articles, communications, and comprehensive reviews are invited. We encourage multidisciplinary contributions that connect pharmaceutical formulation and nanotechnology with meaningful improvements in therapeutic performance and patient-oriented drug delivery.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
