Dear Colleagues,
Over recent decades, the field of gynecologic oncology has experienced rapid and transformative progress. Driven by advances in molecular biology, imaging technologies, surgical innovation, and systemic therapies, the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancers have entered a new era of precision and personalization. What once relied primarily on conventional diagnostic tools and broad therapeutic strategies has evolved into a sophisticated landscape where early detection, targeted interventions, and individualized care pathways are increasingly achievable. This evolution reflects a steadfast commitment to scientific discovery, multidisciplinary collaboration, and improved outcomes for women worldwide.
This Special Issue, ‘Advances in Gynecologic Oncology: Diagnosis, Treatment, and Precision Medicine’, aims to gather high‑impact manuscripts that deepen our understanding of disease mechanisms, refine diagnostic accuracy, and expand therapeutic possibilities across the spectrum of gynecologic malignancies. We welcome submissions addressing, but not limited to, the following areas:
Innovations in early detection and diagnostic technologies, including molecular biomarkers, liquid biopsies, advanced imaging modalities, and AI-enhanced diagnostic tools.
Novel surgical approaches, such as minimally invasive, robotic, and fertility-preserving techniques.
Advances in systemic therapies, including targeted agents, immunotherapies, hormonal treatments, and combination strategies.
Progress in radiation therapy, image-guided techniques, and personalized radiotherapeutic planning.
Translational research exploring tumor biology, genomics, microenvironmental interactions, and mechanisms of treatment resistance.
Enhanced perioperative and survivorship care, including supportive therapies, quality‑of‑life optimization, and long-term follow-up strategies.
Through this Special Issue, we aim to foster scientific exchange, encourage interdisciplinary innovation, and illuminate new pathways for improving the diagnosis, treatment, and overall care of patients with gynecologic cancers.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Medicina is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
