Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

With the advent of new technologies, such as CT and robotic navigation, augmented reality, and 3D-printed precountoured rods, our ability to plan adult spinal deformity procedures has never been better. Our understanding of the importance of sagittal alignment and the restoration of age-adjusted normative balance to the spine has made the individualized planning of adult spinal deformity procedures more challenging but more effective.

This Special Issue will focus on key advances in adult spinal deformity procedures in the age of individualized medicine. Topics of particular interest include preoperative planning, intraoperative advances including precountoured rods and robotic procedures, minimally invasive deformity correction techniques, and revision surgeries.
