Dear Colleagues,
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Even after decades of clinical progress, COPD remains a significant health burden. While management has focused mainly on airflow limitation and exacerbation prevention, critical gaps persist in early detection, precision phenotyping, and the care of complex comorbidities such as cardiovascular disease and pulmonary hypertension. The inherent heterogeneity of COPD is increasingly understood through biomarkers, and advanced imaging, which are redefining conventional phenotypes and enabling trait-based medicine. The integration of artificial intelligence, quantitative radionics, and innovative technologies offers transformative potential to shift toward a more symptom-centered, personalized care. For this Special Issue, we invite clinicians and clinical investigators to contribute high-impact articles that translate these insights into improved, patient-focused COPD care and inspire multidisciplinary collaboration.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Journal of Clinical Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
