Dear Colleagues,
During the last decade, fertility and reproductive health have become increasingly prominent areas of clinical and research focus, driven by global trends such as delayed childbearing, rising infertility prevalence, and expanding utilization of assisted reproductive technology (ART). These demographic shifts have coincided with major advances in reproductive endocrinology, genetics, fertility preservation, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, substantially broadening diagnostic and therapeutic options for women across the reproductive lifespan. At the same time, persistent heterogeneity in clinical outcomes, delayed diagnosis of common reproductive disorders, and disparities in access to fertility care highlight the need for rigorous, clinically meaningful research that can inform evidence-based practice.
At present, emerging technologies, including reproductive genomics, metabolomics, artificial intelligence, and large-scale clinical data analytics, are rapidly reshaping fertility assessment and treatment strategies. While these innovations offer opportunities for personalized and more effective care, their integration into routine clinical practice requires careful evaluation of clinical validity, safety, long-term outcomes, and equity. Moreover, reproductive health cannot be viewed in isolation, as conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, and reproductive aging have important implications for broader women’s health outcomes, including metabolic and cardiovascular risk.
This Special Issue will present and disseminate high-quality, clinically relevant research that advances understanding of fertility and reproductive health in women by integrating basic mechanisms, translational science, and real-world clinical outcomes. The focus will be on studies with clear implications for patient care, including those that evaluate novel diagnostic or therapeutic approaches, refine existing clinical practices, or provide insights into the biological and systemic factors influencing reproductive function and fertility outcomes. Original research articles and high-quality narrative reviews are welcome.
Topics of interest for this publication include, but are not limited to, assisted reproductive technologies and ART outcomes; ovarian reserves, reproductive aging, and diminished ovarian function; polycystic ovary syndrome and metabolic–reproductive interactions; endometriosis and fertility; fertility preservation in oncological and non-oncological settings; reproductive genetics and epigenetics; artificial intelligence and digital tools in reproductive medicine; and reproductive surgery.

Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
