Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The advent of financial technology (FinTech) has revolutionized the global financial landscape, introducing unprecedented efficiency, accessibility, and innovation. However, this digital transformation has also given rise to new and complex forms of financial risk. This Special Issue seeks to explore the emerging risks associated with the rapid integration of FinTech into traditional financial systems, including cybersecurity threats, data privacy concerns, regulatory challenges, and systemic risk implications.

We are pleased to invite you to analyze how these new risk paradigms are reshaping risk management practices and discuss potential frameworks and policies to mitigate negative outcomes. The aim is to provide a comprehensive understanding of FinTech-induced risks and foster discussions on building a more resilient and adaptive financial system in the digital age. The following are potential focus areas of this Special Issue:

  • Address new risks in data security and privacy due to FinTech.
  • Update traditional frameworks to handle FinTech-driven risks.
  • Explore regulatory solutions that balance innovation with stability.
  • Analyze FinTech’s impact on financial system stability.
  • Maximize FinTech’s benefits for accessibility and inclusion.
