International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health | World No Tobacco Day 2024—“Protecting Children from Tobacco Industry Interference”
World No Tobacco Day 2024 is observed annually on 31 May. The aim of this special day is to highlight the health and other risks associated with tobacco use and discourage the use of tobacco in any form. The theme of World No Tobacco Day 2024 is “Protecting Children from Tobacco Industry Interference”, focusing on the impact of tobacco on addictive behaviors among children and adolescents, calling and urging attention to the various risks posed by tobacco to adolescents.
To further discuss research related to World No Tobacco Day, the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH, ISSN: 1660-4601) has created a collection of open-access academic research on the topic of tobacco exposure, child and adolescent health risks and tobacco-related addictive behaviors. We hope to use this special day to share new scientific knowledge in the field of the impact of tobacco on health and quality of life.
