Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In horticulture, flower traits (such as floral shape, size, color, scent and flowering time ect.) play key roles that influence reproduction and economic value of horticulture crops. Recent progress of biotechnology, such as genome assembly, genetic transformation, genome editing and metabolomics, etc., were widely used in horticulture crops and rapid enrich our knowledge about molecular mechanisms on floral shape, size, color, scent and flowering time of horticulture crops.
The purpose of this Special Issue, “Advances in Flower Trait Genetics and Breeding,” aims to contribute to the dissemination of new knowledge and results related to flower trait genetics and breeding recently developed by researchers worldwide. Innovative articles on morphological, physiological and chemical characteristics of flowers that influence reproduction and economic value of any fruit, vegetable and ornamental species are welcome in this Special Issue. In addition, innovative articles on horticulture crop breeding for flower traits are also welcome in this Special Issue.
