Preference for Wood, Wooden Interiors, and Wood Products

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

As concerns grow around the sustainability of our society in its current form, there has been an increased amount of interest in recent years around the use of wood. Indeed, a growing number of consumers are exhibiting a marked preference for wood or wood products, leading to an increase in the demand for the use of wood in various buildings, including mid-to-high-rises and public and private constructions. There are various reasons wood is such an attractive material: Not only can the use of wood also contribute to protecting the global environment and achieving SDGs, but it can also enhance local economies, especially local production and consumption.

Thus, this Special Issue focuses on the “Preferences for Wood, Wooden Interiors, and Wood Products” and includes papers that address evaluations of the preference for wood, the various (psychological, physiological, economical, etc.) effects of the use of wood for wooden interiors, wooden buildings and wood products, etc.
