Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Intelligent packaging has evolved over the years to address challenges in the preservation and distribution of fresh foods, such as sensors, indicators, and smart materials. This Special Issue aims to explore innovative solutions in intelligent packaging to monitor and maintain quality and safety, including cutting-edge research on real-time freshness indicators, nanomaterials, and IoT-based systems for tracking and monitoring food conditions, and those that allow consumers to interact with packaging, providing other information that might be relevant but not indicative of the quality or safety of the product.

Therefore, this Special Issue on “Intelligent Packaging Solutions for Fresh Foods” invites researchers to submit their original research articles, comprehensive reviews, or mini-reviews with the aim of providing innovative solutions in intelligent packaging.
