The awards consist of 400 Swiss Francs each to attend an academic conference of the winner’s choice in the second half of 2019 or first half of 2020.

Ms. Elham Alipour Tarzanagh works on hybrid solar receivers, turbulent flows and particle image velocimetry (PIV). She will present her research “The Relative Influence of the Flow Through Combustion Nozzles and an External Wind on the Induced Flows through the Aperture of a Hybrid Solar Receiver Combustor” at 17th European Turbulence Conference (ETC 2019), 3–6 September 2019, in Torino, Italy.

Mr. Peter J. Baddoo’s research is focussed on applying complex variable methods to study flows through periodic domains.
