Integration Technology Optimization of Power Systems and Smart Grids
This special issue belongs to the section “A1: Smart Grids and Microgrids“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In today's interconnected world, power systems are evolving at an unprecedented pace. The integration of diverse energy sources, from renewables to conventional power plants, along with the growing demand from electric vehicles and smart technologies, presents both a challenge and an opportunity. Optimizing how these complex systems interact is vital for ensuring stability, efficiency, and sustainability. This Special Issue will explore the innovative technologies that are making this possible, including the revolutionary role of artificial intelligence.
This Special Issue aims to present and disseminate the most recent advances related to the theory, design, modeling, and the application of Integration Technology Optimization of Power Systems.
Topics of interest for publication include, but are not limited to, the following:
- All aspects of power system integration, including renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, and smart grids;
- Novel applications of power electronics in grid-level systems;
- Advanced control strategies and fault tolerance in integrated power systems;
- Multiphase power systems and their applications;
- Grid stability, resilience, and reliability analysis and optimization;
- Advanced modeling approaches for large-scale power systems;
- Artificial intelligence (AI) applications for power system optimization, control, and predictive maintenance;
- Thermal and mechanical considerations in power system components.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Energies is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
