Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

With the rapid expansion of renewable energy generation and the widespread adoption of high-performance motor drive systems, higher demands are placed on power electronic converters, advanced control strategies, and system-level stability. Key technical challenges include power quality issues, the complexity of control requirements, and weak-grid stability, all of which are further exacerbated by the intermittency of renewable energy sources and the increasing penetration of power electronic interfaces. This Special Issue aims to explore innovative solutions to the above challenges, bridging the gap between power electronics, motor drives, and grid integration. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Novel power electronic converter topologies and optimization.
  • Power quality compensation and ripple current suppression.
  • Fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control of power electronic systems.
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning-based motor modeling and control.
  • Advanced control methods for renewable energy systems and motor systems.
  • Multi-motor/multi-axis coordination and contouring control.
  • Model predictive control for multiphase drive systems.
  • Data-driven, adaptive, and robust intelligent control methods.
  • Power grid stability analysis.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
