Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The 5th International Conference on Information Processing and Network Provisioning Spring 2026 (ICIPNP2026-Spring) will focus on frontier research in information processing, network provisioning, computer networks, and intelligent communication technologies. Building on the academic discussions and research outcomes of ICIPNP2026-Spring, this Special Issue aims to provide a dedicated platform for extended high-quality conference papers and original research contributions related to advanced information processing and next-generation network technologies.
With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, blockchain, 5G/6G wireless networks, cloud-edge computing, and secure communication systems, modern information networks are becoming more intelligent, heterogeneous, and service-oriented. These trends bring new challenges and opportunities in efficient signal processing, network optimization, resource allocation, cybersecurity, privacy protection, and intelligent network applications. Therefore, there is an urgent need for innovative theories, algorithms, architectures, and practical solutions to support reliable, secure, and intelligent information and communication systems.
This Special Issue welcomes original research articles, review papers, and extended versions of selected papers from ICIPNP2026-Spring. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, information and signal processing, network information and knowledge processing, radar and sensor signal processing, positioning technologies, information retrieval and big data, machine learning and blockchain applications, 5G and future networks, artificial intelligence communications, network management and measurement, network security and privacy, QoS and resource scheduling, edge computing, multimedia transmission networks, Internet of Things and software-defined networking, cloud and mobile computing, intelligent vehicular networks, and industrial Internet applications.
By connecting the main themes of ICIPNP2026-Spring with emerging developments in intelligent communication and network technologies, this Special Issue seeks to promote academic exchange, technological innovation, and practical deployment in next-generation information systems and secure network services.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
