Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue explores the relationships between creative thinking and the teaching of visual expression in the contemporary context, marked by the emergence of artificial intelligence and digital learning ecologies. In an educational landscape characterised by the convergence of art, technology, and pedagogy, it is necessary to rethink the ways in which digital environments are transforming the processes of teaching, creation, and aesthetic appreciation.
This Special Issue seeks to bring together research, experiences, and reflections that address how digital tools and artificial intelligence systems can enhance creative thinking, expand artistic practices, and generate more collaborative, inclusive, and critical learning spaces. It also aims to foster debate on the ethical, epistemological, and aesthetic challenges that accompany the incorporation of these technologies into artistic education.
From an interdisciplinary perspective, teachers, researchers, and artists are invited to reflect on new forms of visual expression, technological mediation in creative processes, and the construction of sustainable, innovative, and humanised learning ecologies in the 21st century.

Exploring the relationships between AI and creative processes in the visual arts; analysing the tensions between authorship, originality, and automation.
- Digital Ecologies of Learning in Art Education:

- Ethics, Aesthetics, and Pedagogy in the Digital Age:
Reflections on the ethical, epistemological, and aesthetic challenges posed by the incorporation of AI and algorithms into art education.
- Interdisciplinarity and Hybrid Practices in the Art Classroom:
