Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Education Sciences (ISSN: 2227-7102) successfully hosted the 1st International Online Conference on Education Sciences (IOCES2026). The conference was held virtually from 15–17 June 2026 via the Sciforum platform (https://sciforum.net/event/IOCES2026). A total of over 400 submissions were received from researchers across different regions and institutional backgrounds, reflecting the substantial interest in the latest developments within the field of education sciences.
In recognition of the high-quality research presented at the conference, a Special Issue of Education Sciences will be dedicated to publishing selected and expanded papers from IOCES2026. The primary purpose of this Special Issue is to offer a curated collection of the most impactful contributions emerging from the conference, allowing authors to develop their conference presentations into full-length, peer-reviewed articles. The Special Issue is guest-edited by Professor Dr. Daniel Muijs, who served as the Chair of the conference.
Contributions are invited from conference presenters and participants, as well as the broader education research community. All submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure scientific quality, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope. The review process will be managed by the Guest Editor in collaboration with the editorial office, following the journal's standard policies.
Topics covered in this Special Issue include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- Innovative pedagogy and instructional design
- Educational technology and digital transformation
- Inclusive education and equity in learning environments
- Curriculum development and reform
- Assessment methods and evaluation practices
- Teacher professional development and well-being
- Learning analytics and educational data mining
- Early childhood, primary, secondary, and higher education perspectives
Scholars, researchers, and practitioners in the field of education sciences are welcome to follow the developments of this Special Issue and consider submitting their work. Further inquiries may be directed to the editorial office of Education Sciences.
