Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Skin cancer remains one of the most common malignancies worldwide, posing a significant challenge not only for biomedical research but also for behavioural science and patient-centred care. Understanding how patients perceive, respond to, and manage skin cancer requires integrating behavioural insights with clinical practice. This Special Issue focuses on patient knowledge, attitudes, emotions, behaviours, and their relationship with treatment and self-management.
We welcome contributions exploring patient perspectives on diagnosis and therapy, studies addressing behavioural interventions to improve risk reduction and adherence, as well as research portraying how patients face prescribed treatment and manage their disease. Studies employing mixed-methods or qualitative approaches are particularly encouraged. By bridging behavioural science with clinical care, this Special Issue seeks to promote innovative self-management strategies, strengthen the patient–physician relationship, and support effective public health interventions.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Current Oncology is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
