Lipids & Cosmetics Congress
Innovation in the field of lipids is at the heart of the Lipids & Cosmetics congress, dedicated to the latest research and innovations in the fields of skin physiology, oleochemical processes, extraction, purification, and analytical techniques, as well as new formulation technologies based on raw materials of lipidic origin. We welcome you to Bordeaux to share your work, present your results, or find out about the latest lipid initiatives in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Today, there are new challenges to consider, such as naturalness, durability, inclusiveness, and customisation. Lipids play an essential role in this transformation—essential to the skin's structure and its protection, lipids are central to modern formulations, combining biological efficacy with caring for the environment.
The search for transparency and ethical solutions is particularly important to consumers, who wish to better understand the composition of the products they buy and where they come from, and want the assurance of their health and environmental harmlessness. Along with that objective, there is a growing demand for traceability and reliable certifications. The sensory experience remains fundamental to winning over consumers, fostering their loyalty, and striving to better understand what an ever-more informed public wants. As such, today's cosmetics are formulated at the crossroads of scientific expertise, ethical commitment, and sensory emotion.
With all that in mind, the Lipids & Cosmetics 2026 congress will be organised around six themes, centred on lipids and their applications:
- Their biological properties;
- The development of ingredients and supply chains for raw materials;
- Formulation and the sensory experience;
- Their processes and design;
- Analysis of lipids and characterisation of their effects.
- Call for oral abstracts will last until September 10th, 2025
- Call for posters will last until December 12th, 2025
An event organised by COSMETIC VALLEY, with the support of Région Nouvelle Aquitaine, in partnership with ITERG, Bordeaux University, and ADI Nouvelle Aquitaine.
