Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue focuses on the emerging role of DNA methylation as a key epigenetic mechanism in cancer development, progression, and therapeutic response. Aberrant DNA methylation patterns contribute to tumor initiation, lineage plasticity, and resistance to treatment, while also offering promising opportunities for biomarker discovery. We invite original research and review articles exploring epigenetic drugs in cancer, genome-wide methylation profiling, epigenomic analyses, and integrative approaches that improve our understanding of cancer biology.
Particular emphasis is placed on studies identifying diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive biomarkers, as well as those investigating epigenetic therapies that target or affect DNA methylation. Contributions investigating tumor heterogeneity and translational applications in clinical oncology are also encouraged.
This Special Issue aims to provide an overview of current advances and support the development of methylation-based strategies in cancer research and treatment.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Current Issues in Molecular Biology is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
