Section Information

The ‘Molecular Pharmacology’ section of the journal Current Issues in Molecular Biology (CIMB) publishes original research articles and reviews of the highest quality on the subject of drug discovery and therapeutics at the molecular level. The journal covers a range of relevant topics, including computational drug design and the prediction of drug targets, together with experimental testing of the model; the identification of novel potential therapeutic targets at the molecular level; studies on drug delivery; analyses of the impact of drugs on cellular signaling pathways; and drug metabolism.

The subtopics covered include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Examination of drug–receptor interactions through various methodologies;
  • Advances in pharmacotherapeutic strategies against human diseases;
  • New molecular targets of already known drugs ("old players");
  • Neuro- and cardiopharmacology;
  • Systems analysis of drug action;
