Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue primarily aims to present a range of research on advances in paediatric urology from ERN eUROGEN, the European reference network for rare uro-recto-genital diseases and complex conditions.

ERN eUROGEN activities are essential to advance innovation in medicine, address gaps and collect evidence at the European level, improve diagnostics, treatment, and outcomes, and ultimately create more equitable access for as many patients as possible in an efficient and cost-effective manner. ERN eUROGEN has three different Workstreams (WSs), divided into Expertise Areas (EAs).

This Special Issue brings together leading experts from across Europe working within ERN eUROGEN’s Workstream 1, focused on rare congenital uro-recto-genital anomalies, with research covering Expertise Areas including complex genital reconstructions, bladder exstrophy/epispadias, rare urological stones and kidney diseases, non-syndromic urogenital tract malformations and neurogenic bladder, posterior urethral valves, proximal hypospadias, and uro-rectal/anorectal malformations. This project will also address the transition from paediatric to adult urogenital reconstructive surgery.

More details can be found on the ERN eUROGEN website: https://eurogen-ern.eu/.
