Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Research on quality of life in cancer survivors has made significant progress in recent years. Various strategies have been developed to alleviate somatic disabilities through physical therapies and exercise programs. In addition, psycho-oncological care is offered to address mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety, which, if left untreated, can persist for years. While our understanding of the unmet needs of cancer survivors has deepened, translating these insights into practical measures to improve quality of life in those affected remains challenging in many respects. For example, certain symptoms do not necessarily occur on their own, but may be interrelated with other symptoms or functional impairments. This Special Issue will highlight innovative research approaches that are yielding new insights to advance our understanding of the determinants of such symptom complexes. Now is the time to use new methods to develop targeted strategies for the treatment and rehabilitation of different groups of cancer survivors. These novel research approaches include, but are not limited to, network analyses, ecological momentary assessment, large language models, and group-based trajectory modeling. I invite you to contribute your research to this emerging field of research on cancer survivorship. Original articles and reviews are welcome. I look forward to receiving your interesting contributions.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Cancers is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
