Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue, entitled "Photodynamic Therapy in Solid Tumors," aims to systematically consolidate cutting-edge research on the application of photodynamic therapy in various solid malignancies and its underlying mechanisms. We welcome original research articles and systematic reviews addressing the development of novel photosensitizers, advanced light delivery technologies, comparative analyses with conventional treatment modalities, combination therapeutic strategies and mechanistic insights into selective tumor cell killing. Submissions emphasizing translational research, clinical trial outcomes and the identification of biomarkers for predicting treatment response are especially encouraged. By fostering a comprehensive academic platform, this Issue seeks to advance scholarly discussion on recent developments and future directions in photodynamic therapy, supporting the refinement and broader application of this therapeutic modality to enhance clinical outcomes for patients with solid tumors, including cholangiocarcinoma, pancreatic cancer, liver cancer and colorectal cancer.
