Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue explores the cutting-edge developments reshaping the landscape of neuro-oncology. With brain tumours presenting a formidable challenge due to their intricate nature and the critical functions of the surrounding tissues, the precision and efficacy of diagnosis, surveillance, and treatment are paramount. This issue highlights innovative imaging techniques and methodologies that are revolutionizing how brain tumours are detected, monitored, and treated. From high-resolution MRI and CT scans to advanced PET technologies and beyond, each article delves into how these imaging advancements offer unprecedented insights into tumour biology, facilitate early and accurate diagnoses, and guide targeted therapies. Moreover, we explore the integration of imaging data with artificial intelligence to predict treatment outcomes, tailor interventions, and improve patient prognoses. This collection aims to inspire ongoing research, collaboration, and innovation in the fight against brain tumours, offering hope for more effective and individualized patient care.

We cordially invite you to contribute to this Special Issue with original research articles, scope and systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and opinion papers. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) state-of-the-art and innovation in imaging related to the following: molecular and genetic markers; imaging techniques; immunotherapy; targeted therapy; radiation therapy advances; chemotherapy and drug; surgical techniques and technologies; tumour microenvironment; paediatric neuro-oncology; metastasis: biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment response; clinical trials and translational research; artificial intelligence; and machine learning.

I look forward to receiving your contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Cancers is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2900 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
