Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to announce a call for submissions for a Special Issue of Cancers focusing on "Angiogenesis and Anti-angiogenic Therapies in Cancer". Angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels, plays a critical role in tumor growth and progression. Anti-angiogenic therapies have emerged as a promising approach to targeting tumor vasculature and inhibiting cancer development.
This Special Issue will explore the latest research and advancements in angiogenesis and anti-angiogenic therapies in cancer. We invite original research articles and reviews covering a wide range of topics related to angiogenesis and anti-angiogenic strategies, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Mechanisms of angiogenesis in cancer;
- Development of anti-angiogenic agents and therapies;
- Clinical trials and outcomes of anti-angiogenic treatments;
- Biomarkers for predicting responses to anti-angiogenic therapy;
- Combination therapies involving anti-angiogenic approaches;
- Tyrosine kinase inhibitors of receptors with proangiogenic activity;
- The role of stromal cells stimulating angiogenesis in the tumor microenvironment.
All submissions will undergo a thorough peer review process to ensure scientific rigor and relevance to the field. We encourage contributions from researchers, clinicians, and experts in the field of cancer biology and oncology.
By consolidating the latest insights and discoveries in angiogenesis and anti-angiogenic therapies, this Special Issue will advance our understanding of tumor angiogenesis and improve therapeutic strategies for cancer patients. Excellent contributions will be essential to its success.
If you have any questions or require further information or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are committed to supporting and facilitating your involvement in this Special Issue.
Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to reading your valuable submissions.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Cancers is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2900 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
