Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Oxidative stress, caused by an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the body's antioxidant defenses, poses a significant threat to animal health and reproductive function, ultimately resulting in considerable economic losses for the livestock industry. Managing oxidative stress effectively is therefore essential in improving health outcomes and reproductive efficiency in livestock.

Following the success of the first volume, we are pleased to announce the launch of this second edition of the Special Issue "Recent Advances in Applications of Antioxidants in Livestock Health and Reproduction". This new volume will continue to explore cutting-edge developments in the application of antioxidants for oxidative stress management across various livestock species. We invite original research articles and comprehensive reviews that address, but are not limited to, the following topics:

  • The effects of dietary antioxidant supplementation on fertility, immunity, and overall health in livestock;
  • Novel strategies for mitigating oxidative damage during critical physiological stages such as gestation, lactation, and growth;
  • The role of antioxidants in improving semen and embryo quality, as well as enhancing neonatal survival;
  • Innovative approaches to antioxidant delivery and their practical applications in production systems.

By showcasing recent scientific advances, this Special Issue will provide a dynamic platform for researchers, veterinarians, and industry professionals to share insights and develop evidence-based strategies for improving livestock welfare and productivity through targeted antioxidant interventions.
