Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The added value of food chains can be recognized through different aspects and quality components. The healthy growth of food chains is closely connected to the sustainable development of rural areas, especially for less-favoured areas (LFA). The lack of relevant studies can be combatted by analysing the shortcomings and possibilities for their growth and further development. The aim of this Special Issue is to collect papers that focus on the topic of analysing the social, economic, and environmental possibilities of value-based food chains and explaining them as opportunities for rural development in EU and NON-EU LFA areas. Papers should explain the theoretical background of the development of quality food chains in different countries. Authors should have an open mind and support their results with different methodologic approaches with qualitative and quantitative results. This Special Issue is a unique opportunity for researches who want to use their valuable knowledge to address targeted rural development issues from socio–economic and environmental aspects connected with VBFC.
