Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Damages caused by erosion and soil degradation, raising major concerns amid surging global demand for food. Cover crops are one of the most effective ways to reduce soil erosion, and increase water infiltration, organic matter and soil microbial activity. Cover crops have also been shown to increase crop yields, break through a plow pan, improve crop diversity and reduce off farm input. Recently, researchers also pay attention cover crops may contribute to mitigate the climate change for expanded soil carbon sequestration. To innovate best soil management practices utilizing cover crops, research is required maximized benefits of cover crop in agroecosystem. Please share your success stories from research around the world in this Special Issue. Submissions on the following topics (but not limited to) are invited: 1) Innovative and novel application of cover crop management; 2) Agronomic practices related to crop productivity and soil physical property under cover crop management; 3) Soil and water conservation and carbon sequestration related to cover crop management; 4) cover crop management strategies to produce healthy soil.; and 5) Integration of cover crop and conservation tillage.
