The International Congress of Research in Nursing ESEP 2022

Porto, Portugal | 14 July 2022

Volume Editor:
Carlos Sequeira, Nursing School of Porto (ESEP), Portugal

Cover Story: The International Nursing Research Congress (NursID 2022) was held in July 2022 at the Nursing School of Porto.
This event aimed to explore the current and future challenges related to the increase in average life expectancy and chronic diseases and the challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and globalization. Thus, it is necessary to (re)think about what we research and why we research.
Investing in nursing research is crucial to achieving sustainable development, so this event provided an excellent moment for reflection on how to accelerate production and, most importantly, the translation of knowledge that adds value to health and people's lives.
