Non-Coding RNA, Volume 4, Issue 3
September 2018 - 8 articles
Cover Story: Despite a comprehensive understanding of cellular changes that occur during the development and progression of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) fibrosis, the molecular mechanisms underlying these changes remain poorly understood. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging as key contributors to biological processes, underpinning the initiation and progression of NAFLD fibrosis. Delineating the mechanisms by which lncRNAs mediate NAFLD fibrosis, is a critical first step toward identifying novel therapeutic targets for drug development and improved, noninvasive methods for disease diagnosis.
