Non-Coding RNA, Volume 10, Issue 5

October 2024 - 7 articles

Cover Story: Lung cancer remains a leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, largely due to late-stage diagnoses and aggressive disease progression. Despite advancements, the prognosis for lung cancer patients remains poor. Emerging research highlights non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs)—including microRNAs, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), and circular RNAs (circRNAs)—as key regulators of gene expression, influencing tumor development, progression, metastasis, and treatment resistance. This review explores the potential of ncRNAs as biomarkers for early diagnoses, prognoses, and predictions of therapeutic responses in lung cancer. Advances in ncRNA-based therapies offer promising avenues for personalized treatment, although challenges like delivery and large-scale validation remain. View this paper
