Cover Story: This paper provides an overview of a few basic topics in functional analysis, joined together by the notion of convexity and its applications. The references partially illustrate old and recent research in this area and relationships between them. The motivation of this paper consists of pointing out two different main aspects of convexity: convex operators and their properties, and Hahn–Banach type theorems applied to the Moment Problem. Concerning the second aspect, a related optimization problem with infinitely many linear constraints is solved. View this paper
