Cover Story: Adam, a resident of a modern apartment complex, returns home after a long day at work. As they approach the gate, the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacon installed near the gate detects their smartphone. The beacon signals the gate's Identification: Legitimate or Counterfeit (ILC) system, integrated with Adam's mobile app. Upon receiving the signal, the ILC system is able to recognize Adam’s walking steps and compare them with the stored Adam’s walking pattern to verify their authorization. Once confirmed, the motor activates with a soft hum, and the gate smoothly slides open, allowing Adam to enter without physical interaction. Adam appreciates the convenience of using their phone to access the gate, especially since they do not have to fumble for keys or access cards. View this paper
