Cover Story: Dementia is a serious cognitive impairment that causes decline in a person's memory, vocabulary, problem-solving, and thinking ability. It affects an individual’s mood and behavior, which can impair their quality of life and well-being. People with dementia often experience social and communication difficulties, which have a negative effect on their lives and those around them. Music is one of the safe and cost-effective non-pharmacological approaches for dementia treatment. This paper investigates the biological/physiological, behavioral and psychological, cognitive, and emotional benefits of music. View this paper
