Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The field of feline and canine anesthesia and analgesia continues to evolve, driven by the growing demand for advanced veterinary care and heightened awareness of animal welfare. This Special Issue, titled “Feline and Canine Anesthesia and Analgesia: Guidelines, Innovations, and Challenges”, invites original research and comprehensive reviews addressing current standards, novel techniques, and practical barriers in perioperative management. Topics of interest include evidence-based anesthetic protocols, multimodal pain management strategies, species-specific pharmacological considerations, monitoring technologies, and recovery optimization. We also welcome contributions exploring challenges such as anesthetic risk assessment in geriatric or critically ill patients, analgesic efficacy in chronic pain conditions, and the adaptation of human medical innovations for veterinary use. By bringing together diverse perspectives, this issue aims to promote knowledge exchange and inspire future advancements that enhance both clinical practice and animal well-being.
