Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Small animal reproduction is a rapidly evolving field, driven by the need for advanced clinical management and companion animal welfare. This Special Issue, "Advances in Small Animal Reproduction: Clinical, Molecular and Biotechnological Perspectives", provides a comprehensive platform for the latest developments in canine and feline theriogenology. We invite original research and comprehensive reviews that explore novel clinical strategies. A special emphasis is placed on revisiting traditional paradigms of hormonal therapy through a modern lens—focusing on their refinement, alternative routes of drug administration and optimized dosing regimens. Furthermore, we encourage submissions on estrous cycle regulation, non-surgical contraception, the prevention of reproductive disorders and the impact of climate and climate change on the estrous cycle.
To reflect the multidisciplinary nature of veterinary medicine, this issue also highlights cutting-edge reproductive biotechnologies and molecular insights into the physiopathology of the reproductive tract.
Above all, we seek to foster the bold expression of hypotheses. By welcoming daring, hypothesis-driven research, this Special Issue aims to spark a new beginning for future innovations, successfully bridging the gap between basic science and advanced veterinary clinical practice.
