Section Information

The Emerging Contaminants Section of the journal is focused on research that addresses the problems and challenges caused by chemicals that are not currently (or have been only recently) regulated in the environment. This Section will welcome original papers, reviews, perspectives, and comments that cover a broad range of research on emerging contaminants, such as the identification of emerging contaminants, or that initiate advanced assessments of their presence in the environment, toxic effects and ecological risks, environmental behavior and degradation, human exposure, as well as disposal technology to reduce and control their environmental presence.
