Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) Conference 2022

FOSS4G is an event which takes place every year in a different country around the world, and it covers mainly topics of free and open-source GIS software and geographical open data. It is a big opportunity for the geospatial world community to meet and share experiences with researchers, public administrators, and industries.

FOSS4G 2022 will be a hybrid event in the field of geospatial open-source software—after two years, it will finally be possible to meet again in person. The conference will be held in the beautiful city of Firenze from 22 to 28 August 2022 in the spaces of the Fiera and the University of Florence.

The talks in the conference cover mainly this topics:

  • Software status, new software/project development, benchmarking
  • FOSS4G implementations in strategic application domains: land management, crisis/disaster response, smart cities, population mapping, climate change, ocean and marine monitoring, etc.
