Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Wheat (Triticum aestivum) is the most important staple crop for more than 35% of the world’s population. Exploiting the important agronomic trait genes and functions of genes could create opportunities to improve wheat products for safeguarding food security. In addition, the study of wheat important agronomic trait genes has given us important insights into the control of wheat yield and quality and had a significant positive impact on the improvement in yield and quality in wheat. This Special Issue of Plants aims to highlight the function of important agronomic trait genes in wheats and their role in the interactions of wheat with the environment.
