Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Young women face unique nutritional and health challenges during the transition from adolescence to adulthood and throughout the reproductive years. Dietary habits established during this period may have important implications not only for current nutritional status, body composition, and weight management, but also for future maternal and long-term health. At the same time, dietary behaviors and lifestyles among young women are changing rapidly in response to social, cultural, and environmental influences.

This Special Issue aims to provide current evidence on dietary intake, lifestyle behaviors, nutritional status, and health among young women. We welcome original research, reviews, and epidemiological studies addressing topics such as dietary intake and diet quality, dietary patterns, body weight perception and weight-control behaviors, body composition, physical activity and other lifestyle factors, and nutrition during the preconception and pregnancy periods. Cross-cultural and international comparisons, as well as studies examining temporal changes in dietary and health-related behaviors, are particularly encouraged.

By bringing together evidence from diverse populations and research perspectives, this Special Issue seeks to contribute to a better understanding of the nutritional challenges facing young women and to inform effective strategies for promoting their health and well-being.
